Aw, that's sweet.

As part of a YouTube pitch to be part of Google's superfast internet experiment, Topeka, Kansas temporarily renamed itself Google. (This was mentioned in the March 30th Future Tense.)

For April Fools' Day, Google temporarily renamed itself Topeka.

They like each other!

We estimate kitten is now almost 6 weeks old. This is exciting, since that's the age at which he can get his kitten shots and be tested for various nasties. After that, gasp!, it's time to integrate him into the household with the rest of the cats, also known as the pleasedonteathim stage. He is becoming affectionate. He purrs when we walk into the room, and he clearly knows who we are. He meows when he hears our voices elsewhere in the house. He is playing, with the toys we give him and with our feet. We are trying to teach him that biting is not acceptable. He is entirely litter-trained, and even covers up after himself properly. He doesn't clean himself very well yet, though, so there are still butt-wipings. He still eats formula, but he eats canned kitten food too, sometimes even when I'm not holding it in front of him and pushing it around and then petting him to remind him to eat it.

These are pictures of him from 4 to 6 weeks.
