The weather today is gorgeous and fantastic. All the house's windows are open, the cats are loving every stray scent that blows in, and we're grilling tonight around 6. Company welcome! Come on over, and bring something to throw on the grill.

Today is already a very good day. Sadly, because of Shopping! The Kmart on Lake Street has a couple of really good deals in the clearance section that have meant I can cross some items off my long-term "to own" list. They've got a couple of Roombas for $90--that's a great price! If you've been thinking about getting a Roomba, that would be an amazing deal. You have to pay an extra $8 at the cash register for a 1-year warranty, and it doesn't come with an automatic charging station or invisible walls, but it's still a good deal. Since the battery died on my old Roomba, I bought the new one for parts, basically (an entire Roomba for only $20 more than the battery replacement cost!). I also got an Everlast standing heavy bag for $30, because it rang up $20 cheaper than the already discounted price, which was $50, which is still a very good price for a standing heavy bag. Now I just have to resist the temptation to use it for another month or so (v. difficult). And they've got all kinds of rose root stock for sale from $6-$3!

Hmm. I think I'm supposed to actually be doing writing work today. I should get to that!
