Yesterday the Archaeologist got drunk with people. He's back in town for a while, but his weekend is devoted to family shit, as is ours (yay! circus!), so we all went out and got drunk on Tuesday. Slightly untraditional.
We met at Bar Abilene in Uptown around eight, drank alcohol until one, whereupon all those party poopers who actually...gasp...work left. The Muse headed home and went sweet beddy-bye, but I, myself, and I, accompanied the archaeologist to Hard Times cafe in the vicinity of the U of M to drink coffee until they kicked us out around 3:30 a.m. Lots and lots of nicotine, caffeine, and, of course, alcohol. Ah, the "Hedwig & the Angry Inch" soundtrack. Surprisingly good out of context. And in, of course. Candy on the rocks, baby.
Discussions ended up being about (once initial tales of terror involving Fer de Lances, worms in the bottom of people's feet, fires, and blood sacrifices were over) Nietzsche, the Aryan race, Hitler, ancestry, ethnic warfare, and, of course, more Mayan sacrifices. Most of these topics were due to the interesting combination of a guy who knew way too much about Aryans and a man who emigrated from Nigeria.
Heh.
Overall, a fun time.
