It's the holiday season and I've been working full+ time for the day job, so the writing time has been very spotty. Among the things I haven't had time for is posting writing logs, so there's an impressive backlog.
01/03/2010
* Finished marking up Vicesteed ch. 23.
* Submitted "The Old Woman By The Sea" to MinnSpec's critique workshop and to Critters.
01/02/2010
* Read Publisher's Lunch, Critters, Writing-World, 2 Duotrope, and WritersWeekly newsletters and updated market list from them.
* Finished following all the Writer's Digest links and links-of-links. Yikes.
* 20 min technique-heavy video, really worth watching, about marketing on the internet (based on non-fiction book marketing, but applies to fiction or other endeavors). Good enough to be added to my "to do once novel published" file: http://timferriss.posterous.com/tim-ferriss-how-to-create-a-global-phenomenon

12/23/2009
* Posted to cloudscudding, penthius, MinnSpec, Critters, Facebook, email newsletter, note for next market list, re "A Phoenix By Any Other Name" publication and updated profile biblios and website bio and biblio.
* Copied "Places to update" into Google Docs.
* "A Phoenix By Any Other Name" published at http://www.short-story.me/fantasy-stories/116-a-phoenix-by-any-other-name.html
* Set up Spec the Halls 2009 winners page, and drafted email announcements.
12/19/2009 - Saturday, housewarming in the p.m.
* Did 3rd crit for MinnSpec
* Processed a few of the Spec the Halls submissions.
12/18/2009 - Friday, full dayjob
12/17/2009
* Changed SpectheHalls guidelines to reflect my lazy response times
* Did time-tracking. Tuesday: 2 hrs 21 min writing stuff, 2 hrs 42 min housework, remaining 7 hours???? This is not a happy experiment.
* Posted writing log.
* NanoWri
* Freewriting
* 2 crits for MinnSpec
* Queried whether edits were still needed for "Missing You In Pieces."
* Processed Thaumatrope's personal "Nice writing. Not really a story. Rewrite and resubmit. " rejection of Banker's Hours. Totally fair.
* Wrote "The Key to His Heart," incorporating "Banker's Hours" (which I hadn't planned on, but the bit I had was too short) and submitted to Thaumatrope. Really, they've got a long turnaround time and the time to write twitfic is small, so as a writing exercise I should just constantly keep a sub in with them. I'm sure they love it when writers do that.
