Activism
Note: I still haven't been able to get through, but apparently my father managed to, though it took him about half-a-dozen busy signals and lots of being on hold. Why isn't our government more efficient? Do you think they do it on purpose?
Please phone the White house at 202-456-1111 (between 9:00 AM and 5:00
PM
[EST] ). A machine will detain you a moment, an operator will ask you
which
state you are calling from and then the operator will ask for your
comment.
Simply state "I oppose" or "I approve of" the proposed war against Iraq.
They will thank you for your comment and hang up.
The president wants to know. Tell him. Time is running out. Thank you!!

If the phone number -- ok, but I know 202 is the right area code just from about a billion other messages from RSU.
If people calling in -- it's not like W's *asking* for people to call. It's one of those "I'm a citizen, here's what I think -- don't do it, mofo!!!!" You should refer to what you're opposing (hopefully that's obvious), but you can call 'em any time you please to give him a piece of yer mind. Of course, briefer is usually better.
