Overused word: sleep
Gratuitous word: conviviality
Type of scene: Blissful ignorance.

Which line is it anyways?They stared at him as if an ostrich had talked to them.
Notes: Midway through every book-length project (and even some very long short stories), I come to a point where I need to stop and re-brainstorm the plot, outlining the rest of the events in great detail. I think I've hit that point. But I only had time to outline this mini-arc. Soon, soon, I will need to outline the rest of The Circus of Brass and Bone in a very detailed way. I know enough about the world and the characters to do that now.
Other writingy stuff:

* Read WritersDigest newsletter.
