What did you talk about while we were gone?

Heh heh heh. Lots of shopping for Abra today. It took me something like 3 hours to traverse the six or so blocks that comprise the main downtown Minneapolis drag. I got two wedding gifts for Phil's-cousin-in-Wisconsin, one for the good times and one for the bad: a trifle dish and a nailgun (hey, as we all know, you can kill someone with those). While I was in Crate&Barrel buying the trifle dish, I picked up a soda fountain glass and a wire snowflake. It snowed the other day, honest.

I had the frustrating experience of shoe-shopping. I'm 5'11. Everything's in proportion. This means I have a bitch of a time finding shoes, long-sleeved shirts, and dress socks. I wear the Muse's jeans a lot. Well, actually, all his clothes except for underwear. I haven't persuaded him to stock up on silky boxers yet. And his shoes are too big for me. So Target (nailgun) doesn't stock above 9 1/2. Grr.

I actually found a pair of square-toed dress shoes that fit me at Marshall Fields. They are a size too small, but I can wear them because they're square-toed. They're almost black with bits of red. They have heels (okay, so now I'm 6'1). They've got that strappy Mary-Jane thing going on. Don't know what it's called. If there were more cool shoes in my size, I could become a peril. However, the world is safe for the most part. I'm pretty limited to the men's section and the drag queen shoe-shops (one reason I love drag queens; they like pretty shoes).

I picked up a wedding card and wrapping paper. I picked up printer paper so I can spew out more sheafs of paper to redmark, and make people read, and submit in hopes of a hand-written rejection letter.

I ate. I got pantyhose to go with the nice shoes and dress. I got nailpolish for no reason at all. I like pretty colors but never take the time to actually polish or care for my nails at all. If there's a snag, I'll trim it. Aside from that...

Who needs money? That's what credit cards are for.

Dear God, don't take that seriously....
