[livejournal.com profile] leorathesane and I were discussing Illuminatus! on our way home, as the discussion had come up about third-person application of unreliable narrator and how to do it without your readers wanting to kill you. We debated whether, given its fifteen million POV changes, it could be considered an example of unreliable narrator.

Ultimately, we decided it's an example of unreliable everything.
